Winners are Grinners

Two of the five Sutherland brothers from Dalwallinu, Glen and Dale, share big grins at winning the Stallion Homes’ Simpsons Lego House at the recent Dowerin Field Days. Mum and Dad, Paul and Melissa, may have to re-arrange the furniture to accommodate the budding young builders in the family.

The competition, held over the two days attracted an overwhelming amount of entries from people near and far around the district. When asked about the reason for the much sought after prize, the reason was quite simple, kids love to build things.

“We know children and young people love to build things and it encourages learning.

Imagination and problem solving is key to the development of young people so we thought applying the fun of it to building a Lego home might focus on the builders of tomorrow.

Stallion Homes will still be building family homes in the district when these young people start to think about their careers and we hope the building industry will be an option. As the district grows; so will the need for enthusiastic trades and services in the building industry. But more importantly, we hope the Sutherland boys will have lots of fun in the meantime. We’d also like to thank the hundreds of people who entered and there will always be next year.”
